How Anti-wrinkle injection works?

forhead lines
These are the horizontal lines that appear across the forehead as we age. Initially they are only present when we raise our eye brows but over time these lines start to become permanent. The anti wrinkles injections reduces the activity of this muscle therefore reducing the appearance of the forehead lines.

The vertical lines between the eyebrows, also known as the “elevens” are more noticeable when we frown. In some patients a line can also develop across the top of the nose. The Crows feet lines are the line that develop either side of the eyes when we smile. This is because of contraction of muscle around the eye. If a patient is able to voluntarily engage the muscle responsible for dilating the nostrils, then neuromodulators can be used to reduce the flare and give the impression of a more narrow tip. Anti wrinkles are injected into specific muscles around the nose to reduce or prevent dynamic changes in the shape of the nostrils when laughing or smiling.

In some patients, the tip of the nose can droop due to an overactive depressor muscle. This can be more noticeable when the patient smiles. By relaxing the muscle in question, the tip of the nose is prevented from turning down creating a tip lift. A small dose of neuromodulator is injected into the depressor septi nasi muscle, which connects the upper jaw to the nose and influences the behaviour of the nasal tip. The injection releases tension and helps lift the tip of the nose, creating greater facial harmony.
lip flip
A subtle non-surgical procedure that addresses inverted or thinner upper lips when smiling. This treatment enhances the natural shape of your lips when smiling without adding volume or using dermal filler. Microdoses of anti wrinkles are injected into the orbicularis oris muscle, which attaches to the dermis of the upper lip. This relaxes any tension and allows the lip to roll or ‘flip’ upwards, and create a natural pout.

Gummy smiles can occur for multiple reasons including enlarged gum tissue, a short lip or excessive growth of the upper jaw.
